Doug Higham brings over 20 years of sophisticated legal experience to his clients, focusing on the lifecycle of a business—from initial formation, and day-to-day business and corporate matters, to debt and equity financing transactions, to complex mergers and acquisitions and other exit strategies. His practice is built on a foundation of creative, results-driven and cost-effective counsel, specifically tailored to the unique goals of each individual client.
Doug’s practice also involves commercial real estate (acquisitions, sales, and complex leasing arrangements), and advising his clients with respect to a wide range of business agreements, including: manufacturing, distribution, technology licensing, employment, stock options, and equity and phantom equity incentive plans.
A Southern California native, Doug is deeply rooted in the local business community. Before his current role, he practiced for 12 years in Irvine at Robinson & Robinson, LLP, and began his career at the prominent Inland Empire firm of Varner & Brandt LLP. He is fluent in Spanish, a skill developed during a two-year volunteer mission in Argentina.
